“Natural” Black Women Required for Music Video Celebrating Black Beauty
In the wake of the media kerfuffle surrounding Serena Williams’ physique after her recent Wimbledon triumph it became apparent that there is a widespread underappreciation of the black female form. You may also remember a Japanese “scientist” that claimed black women were less attractive than their peers of other races.
As a result we have decided to create a song singing the praises of black women and countering these claims. We will be shooting a music video for this song that will showcase the natural beauty of black women in a fun, tasteful and uplifting manner. The shoot has been postponed due to a few complications but is still very much in the works.
We’re specifically looking for “natural” girls as the natural form is underrepresented in the media and we’d like to endorse natural beauty in line with the theme of the video.
Some of the hair styles we think portray the notion of “natural”:
- – Afros
- – Cornrows/plaits
- – Any other styles consisting of own hair
- – Dreads (real or synthetic)
- – Box braids
No previous modelling experience is required to be considered for this project but we do need you to be comfortable in front of the camera and full of personality. If this sounds like you and you’re interested in participating then please fill out the form below and we’ll be in touch.
